hello everybody,
I have a Quickcam express which gives
me errors when i insert the module found
in the Quickcam express homepage for linux,

so the problem is it doesnt work on some systems

the problem is not with the makefile i suppose
i have edited it using help from the mailing list
when i run
./quickcam.sh

though the module is inserted it gives a error , but i
feel it is bcoz the usb module is already there

this is the error i get

Using
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/media/video/videodev.o
Using
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/usbcore.o
insmod: a module named usbcore already exists
Using
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/usb-uhci.o
insmod: a module named usb-uhci already exists
Using
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/usb-ohci.o
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/usb-ohci.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module
parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
Using /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/uhci.o
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/usb/uhci.o:

parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters

it would be nice if anyone could tell me what went
wrong, i get a segmentation fault when i try to run
the example code
and the second time i try that it says /dev/video0
cannot be opened

thanx in advance,

Regards,
Simith
