Greetings ... I've just installed RedHat 7.3 on my new Dell system that also has XP installed.
I have been using a 2Wire USB Home Networking adapter with the XP without a hitch. Does anyone know about this 2Wire adapter? http://www.2wire.com/home/pop/2w_pcport.html I have attempted to install the 2Wire adapter using the pegasus driver, but without success. FWIW ... "lsusb" sees the adapter and identifies it as being an ethernet interface. Also, here are messages from attempting to install using the network configuration tool: Aug 9 14:20:33 localhost kernel: pegasus.c: v0.4.22 (2001/12/07):Pegasus/Pegasus II USB Ethernet driver Aug 9 14:20:33 localhost kernel: usb.c: registered new driver pegasus Aug 9 14:21:50 localhost dhcpcd[1147]: dhcpStart: ioctl SIOCGIFHWADDR: No such device If the 2Wire device is a non-starter for Linux, recomendations for a device that is compatible with both Linux and XP? Thanks for taking the time. --bob Bob Haxo [EMAIL PROTECTED] 650.557.0513 ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
