-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Thanks a lot for the information you provided me. I tried to tune my kernel to get it closer to your config and also to have the USB Controller at IRQ 5 (which I managed) and with I/O 0xb400 (which I didn't manage: always I/O 0xd400): still the same problem. I even installed Windows 98 SE to be sure: it didn't perform better than linux and was less verbose.
Therefore I finally concluded that the USB ports on the motherboard were hardware-defective so I bought a USB PCI card for 40 CHF. Works like a charm with default configuration and usb-ohci. Thanks a lot anyway ! - -- PGP Public Key: http://slashdot.org/~Jerome+Zago/pubkey/ Fingerprint: 8741 62F1 586D D440 C5CA D1CA CBE5 669A 7EA5 D9F9 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE9WAwHy+Vmmn6l2fkRAgDHAKCsOepjUNXFxTF/CWXooZFBfIVcQwCgnq4O 48HRbrIBigJV4EjcwFiPU8U= =xaJE -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: Dice - The leading online job board for high-tech professionals.
