Good day, all,
I've purchased a Keyspan Presentation Remote in the hopes of being
able to use it under linux for StarOffice presentations at some point.
Details:
Keyspan presentation remote, RF wireless remote control and
laser pointer. Model number TSAM-004.

Here's what my 2.4.19-rc1-ac3 kernel believes it's found when I
plug it in:

At this point:
[root@sparrow input]# cat /dev/input/keyboard
cat: /dev/input/keyboard: No such device
[root@sparrow input]# cat /dev/input/mice
(simply waits no matter what buttons I push).
I'm more than happy to admit I'm one of those optimistic, yet
clueless, users. That said, would someone be so kind as to suggest what I
should try next? I'm happy to make minor fixes to kernel source or shell
scripts and try again, but am not quite sure where to start.
If a USB developer is sincerely interested in working with this
device, I would be glad to buy one for that developer. If you're
successful at getting it working, you can keep it with my thanks!
If nothing else, the above might be useful to you, Vojtech, in
getting new IDs for the USB ID list.
Cheers,
- Bill
