Hi ,,
I am fairly new to the USB domain, but i guess i have a problem at
hand and i do not know what to do. I want to connect two pentium machines,
with Linux kernel version 2.4.10, back to back using the USB ports on the
machines. I do not know what is the best way to do this back-to-back
connection, exactly what USB hardware to use and how to configure and
connect the two machines.

Finally after the physical connection is established, i want to setup a PPP
connection between these two machines, using the pppd in Linux,,, I guess i
can do this second part as i have the experience of doing it with RS_232
serial connected back -to-back. But unlike the RS-232 which is symmetric in
comparison to USB (i guess),, i do not even know how best to connect two
PCs using the USB ports.

can i connect the 2 PCs directly connecting the USB ports back-to-back
using some cable??is there any such cable avlaible for back-yo-back
connection??
can anyone help me with this??

regards
Swami
