Yes, I now have the preliminary USB device file system compiled
in and I can see stuff in /proc/bus/usb.  The end result,
however, is the same.  

Any attempt to read or write from the /dev/ttyUSB1 (or
/dev/ttyyUSB0 for that matter) just sits there.  Eventually the
Palm times out, but the program keeps sitting there asking me to
hit the hotsync button until I hit CTRL+C.  Is it possible that
the device is created incorrectly?  What's the appropriate mknod
syntax?
