For those who want to go cheap: http://www.pcmicrostore.com/ has
cheap USB 2.0 devices:
$28 NEC cardbus (works if you power it from ps2 port),
$23 2.5", $46 5.25", $25 hubs - all USB 2.0  , also get $12 
TEC USB 1.0 CF & SM reader - best cheap one I've seen so far (it is my 
4th one). Shipping&H is $5 + $5 per unit.

2.5" does not work with 2.4.18 yet it looks to be USB storage class,
     partitions are read, just I can not access them
5.25" does work though just USB 1.1 speed so far

I will try 5.25 again with 2.5.36 soon. 2.5" will wait for 40GB 2.5"
drives to get below $100 ($109 right now).

I do not have much time to work on it so if someone buys them
and get them working it will be great.
