hi, We are trying to implement device driver for mobile phone having EPOC as the OS. ON the HOST side: 1. I understand that the stack on the HOST can be implemented against the OHCI or EHCI specification??. Ans: Is the mobile phone, based on USB2.0(EHCI, 480Mbps) or 1.1(OHCI, 12Mbps)? If your Aim is to connect to PC, It is already implemented as a part of linux kernel. (Means your host side OS is Linux/Windows etc..) 2. Do I have to implement the USB system software and the USB client software on the HOST side?? Ans: Yes you need to implement the client software and Device stack( If it is not a class device) at host side On the Device side: 3. What are the components for the device stack, if the OS is EPOC on the mobile phone.?? Ans:Your hardware initilization and State machine. 4. What is the USB specification should be followed to implement the device driver on mobile phone.?? Ans: See the Answer to Question no.1 above. If you are trying some vendor specific hardware, you need to write the device stack for it. What hardware you are designing?
