Hi,

after reading the faq, i decided to post here:

I have an old AT-Motherboard by Chaintech (5AGM2) with Via MVP3
chipset. Now i bought an USB-Card OPTi Inc. 82C861 (rev 10) to connect
an USB-mouse.

After loading the kernel-modules (2.4.19 with XFS-Patch) and plugging in
the mouse i get only:

Nov 6 13:49:58 diamanda kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on
  bus1/2, assigned device number 2
Nov  6 13:50:01 diamanda kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Nov 6 13:50:01 diamanda kernel: usb-ohci.c: unlink URB timeout
Nov 6 13:50:01 diamanda kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new
  address=2 (error=-110)
Nov 6 13:50:01 diamanda kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on
bus1/2, assigned device number 3

noapic as boot-option and moving the USB Adapter to another PCI Slot
won't solve the problem.

Any ideas?

bye, rene
