Does anyone have any experience with this KVM? I've
been having trouble getting it to work with Linux,
despite all the claims on the Belkin website, the
packaging, and documentation claiming it works fine
with Linux.

I've called Belkin tech support (twice) with no luck.
The first time, I was told the KVM was bad and to
return it. now that I have my 2nd one, the problems
are the same. The switch works fine with Windows 95
and Windows XP Home (2 of the computers connected to
it dual-boot), but not hen the same systems boot into
Linux (RH Linux 8.0). Tech upports answer has been to
use the PS/2 ports instead. Unfortunately, this KVM is
USB only!!!

I've found that the problem depends on what port the
computers are plugged into. For example, my newest
computer (Tyan Trinity KT133 MB, Windows XP Home/RH
Linux 8.0) has the least problems with th switch, but
Linux has problems when computer is connected to the
2nd port on the switch. I've found similar problems
with the other computers - none will work when plugged
into port 2 and booting into Linux, but Windows works
fine on any port. The main symptom is no recognition
of the mouse (an MS Wheel Mouse Optical USB), the
keyborad is usually useless , too, but not always.
Other than that, the systems boot up fine.

I've upgraded to kernel 2.4.19 and compiled it w/ all
the USB support I'm using the normal module (not the
"JE" one). The results are the same.
