To answer your questions: It is Belkin OmniView SOHO USB KVM w/ Audio Switching, model no. F1DS104U. There are no PS/2 ports - only USB.
The system works fine w/o the KVM in the equation. It also works fine when booting into Win98SE instead of Linux on same setup (system dual-boots between RH 8.0 and Win98SE) with the KVM in place. It works fine in Linux sometimes, but it's intermitten in an unusual way - it works at night (usually), but not during the day The KVM is powered itself to act as a powered, 2-port USB hub, but only the mouse and keyboard are connected, and their connected into the sports specifically designated for the USB mouse and keyboard. I've tried recompiling with the USB features builtin, and removing all non-essential kernel features, and using the alternate JE module, but with no luck. I'm now recompiling w/ all USB features modular to facilitate more testing w/o recompiling/rebooting as much. Is there any other information I can provide you with? This one is driving me nuts. With all the rebooting/recompiling, I've wasted atleast 3 whole days on this.
