I know there are a lot of vendors/cameras out there, the list is long. But of the "currently available" cameras which vendors are best for "out of the box" Linux compatibility (adhere to standards).
I just bought a Canon F30 Multipass printer/scanner that is a Windows only boat anchor, I really don't want any more Windows/Mac only hardware.
