USBview 1.0 displays the following:
[-] USB UHCI Root Hub
L Cruzer
[-] USB UHCI Root Hub
L USB CFII
L USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse
Note: The optical mouse works fine, but I understand that a mouse uses
some different resources than card readers.
The CFII text is displayed in red, the other two devices are not.
USBview offers a good deal of hardware detail about the devices but
nothing about where they are for the purpose of mounting and accessing
them.
It seems very odd that USBview can see these devices from the user level
in Bash but RedHat 8.0 does not pick up the devices on boot.
I am told that USB is a rather oversold and quirky interface. Is there
a simple way to convince RedHat to talk to these devices, please?
Thanks! doc
