Hi to all,
Iam Using Redhat Linux 8.0 (kernel version -2.4.18-14)
when a HID USB mouse is attached it is not functional.
After rebuilding the same kernel with all usb configuration
selected)
(changed configfiles are
kernel-2.4.18-i386-BOOT.config,kernel-2.4.18-i386.config,
kernel-2.4.18-i386-smp.config)
with
canges,(CONFIG_USB_UHCI=m,CONFIG_USB_OHCI=m,CONFIG_USB_HID=m,USB_INPUT_KEYBDEV=m,
USB_INPUT_MOUSEDEV=m)
(observed that while compiling the above kernel it is using
kernel-2.4.18-i386.config file)
but not functional
When I try to run usb view it is showing message that
can not open the file /proc/bus/usb/devices
verify that you have usb compiled into your kernel have the usb
core
modules loaded, and have the usbdefs file system mounted.
in the /proc/bus/pci device file showing that usb-uhci is
mapped.
in /proc/bus/usb no file present
Pl let me know what & where to look for ?
Regards
Rajesh.K
