Hello USB specialists
I have been looking into an annoying problem on a system using Cyrix
MediaGX CPU and chipset (Geode companion) for quite some time now:
The USB mouse (Logitech) freezes from time to time when the system is
busy with hard disk accesses and the mouse is moved at the same time.
The PS/2 mouse still works ok in this case. The USB mouse can be 'woken
up' either by switching from X to the console and back to X or by
unplugging / replugging the USB mouse.
After the mouse freezes, the system does not get any more OHCI
interrupts... (until the mouse is reactivated as mentioned above).
The system:
Industry PC board with Cyrix MediaGX and Geode companion chip. SuSE
installation using kernel 2.4.17, although the problem does not go away
with 2.4.20...

I would be very happy if someone could give me a hint on how I could
solve this problem...
thanks a lot and have a merry Christmas
