Hello,
I have a working usb system which has an Edgeport USB converter attached.
This device converts the usb ports into 8 serial ports. I am running Red Hat
Linux 7.3 and my application calls a vm-ware (virtual machine) which is
running windows 98. I need to release the usb drivers under linux before I
make the call to the virtual machine. When I close the virtual machine and
go back to linux, I need to re-activate the usb to run under linux. Can
anyone give me the linux system calls to accomplish this (I'm sort of new to
linux)? I know this is more of a linux question than usb question but this
seemed like the best place to get the information. Thanks for any help in
advance.
Regards,
Bill
