I'm trying to get a Seagate USB 10GB Tape drive to work, but I keep getting errors (the tar command is in state 'D')
I've been fooling around with block sizes (got it down to 512b) and other such options, but basically it works fine for small amounts of data, but crashes for larger amounts of data. I'm willing to try anything if anyone has any suggestions :) Here's the dmesg output : Boot: scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices Vendor: Seagate Model: STT20000A Rev: 8A51 Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 st: Version 20020805, bufsize 32768, wrt 30720, max init. bufs 4, s/g segs 16 Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 3 acm.c: v0.21:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters USB Mass Storage support registered.
