My contribution has been to try to provide debugging information. See
below. I am very grateful for the work that has been done to get things
as far as they are.

Well, I've been reporting the same problem for months (the first time
was http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=1790897).
I've asked several times for information on how I can troubleshoot the
problem (in other words, what can I do to help figure out the source of
the problem so the developers can figure it out more quickly). When
that is met with silence, what can I do?
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=2587658). I've
tried all the things I can think of and reported them to this list. I
really would like to help. I know this problem doesn't just affect me.
I can spend (and have spent) hours on this, but if someone tells me that
the only way to fix it is for me to provide a patch, I simply can't
provide that. At least not until I get 36 hour days and don't have to
work my current job to provide for my family.

I have received a few responses (so it hasn't been total silence), but
so far none of them has solved the problem. I am very grateful to those
who have provided suggestions for me to try, and I try to respond in
kind when others have questions I can answer. I am currently trying a
few things with someone through private e-mail, but so far I haven't
found a solution.

I keep bringing this up because I occasionally get private e-mail from
people asking me if I have found a solution, and my reply is always
"no".

Dan
