Hello,

I've attempted to get a Sony DRX-500UL (CD+DVD (re)writer) working under Linux. 
I've tried
this both for USB1 and USB2 (the difference being that in the former
case I disabled the USB2 controller in the BIOS). 

However, I haven't had much succes, and I get persistent error
messages, which I attached. The attached files ending in .usb1 are
those for the case in which the USB2 controller is disabled in the
BIOS, and the .usb2-files are those when the controller is enabled.
I've included a dmesg, lspci -v and cat /proc/bus/usb/devices (called
pbud.usb{1,2}).

I run Linux 2.4.21-pre4 with additional patches for the EHCI driver
from David Brownell, so I I'll ask him about the USB2 not working.

In all cases, /dev/scd* don't work.

Have you got any suggestions?
