First, I apologize for the subscribe confirmation accidentally sent at the wrong
address.
Here's my problem:
I recently purchased a Mustek MDC 3500 camera. Since it's advertised
as a USB storage compatible device I thought I wouldn't have any
problems getting it to work under Linux, but clearly I was wrong.
The camera is detected by the system, but the device looks impossible
to mount.
The hardware and software settings should be ok, since my Tiny Disk
64Mb USB pen drive works perfectly on the same system.
Also, the camera can be accessed directly from a bare Win2000 system
(no service packs or drivers needed) and is reported as a FAT 16 Mb disk.
Here are the system log entries when I turn on the camera

# mount -t msdos /dev/sda /mnt/camera
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
or too many mounted file systems
(sda1->n are reported not to be valid block devices)
Tried also different filesystem without luck.
