Hello everyone, I tried to run a 2.5" HD enclosure with an IBM Travelstar 30GB disk but had very little success yet (Needless to say that it works just fine under Win2K without special driver). I am running SuSE 8.1 with their 2.4.19 kernel. I patched the unusual_devs.h according to an entry for the GL702 chip (FIX_INQUIRY | START_STOP | XLATE).
Now I had some success, after some errors in the log indicating timeouts in the bulk transfer, a scsi device was assigned and I succeeded in mounting the device. But it hung after some data transfer. More tests revealed a very unstable behaviour, sometimes the usb-storage will not even initialize. I can provide debug logs and am willing to make any effort to find and fix the problem. Any hints?
