Hi, I'm having trouble with the SCSI emulation part of usb-storage. According to dmesg, the device is recognized:
hcd.c: ehci-hcd @ 00:06.2, NEC Corporation USB 2.0 hcd.c: irq 18, pci mem e0b50000 usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 ehci-hcd.c: USB 2.0 support enabled, EHCI rev 0.95 hub.c: USB hub found hub.c: 5 ports detected hub.c: new USB device 00:06.2-2, assigned address 2 WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 2 Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... but a cat of /proc/scsi/scsi only shows the actual scsi devices on the system, and any attempt to mount the drive is a failure (mount: /dev/sdc1 is not a valid block device ). The same device - a Que!M 80Gb drive, using the ICD300 I believe works just fine on an older USB 1.1 system.
