How do you make the mouse to continue working in X after you've
disconnected then reconnected it?

Is there a way to force devices to certain usb addresses?

Because I did notice that when I disconnected then reconnected the mouse
got two different addresses (when plugged into the same port.)

First Connect:
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1/2, assigned device number 4
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 263
input1: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Microsoft Microsoft 5-Button Mouse with
IntelliEye(TM)] on usb1:4.0

Disconnected:
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 1404
usb.c: USB disconnect on device 4

Second Connect:
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1/1, assigned device number 5
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 1412
input1: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Microsoft Microsoft 5-Button Mouse with
IntelliEye(TM)] on usb1:5.0

The first time the mouse got device number 4, the second time it got 5.

Any help would be appreciated!
