Hello, Has anyone out there gotten the Microtek SlimScan C6 working with the microtek module and sane?
I've had all sorts of trouble. Here is my output from "scanimage -L" with all debug turned on: --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] linux]# scanimage -L [sanei_debug] Setting debug level of microtek2 to 30. [microtek2] sane_init: Microtek2 (v0.95 build 20020127) says hello... [microtek2] parse_config_file: fp=0x805ce60 [microtek2] attach_one: name='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] add_device_list: device='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] attach: device='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] scsi_inquiry: mi=0x805d194, device='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] scsi_inquiry: 'Error during device I/O' [microtek2] attach: 'Error during device I/O' [microtek2] sane_get_devices: local_only=0 [microtek2] attach: device='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] scsi_inquiry: mi=0x805d194, device='/dev/sg0' [microtek2] scsi_inquiry: 'Error during device I/O' [microtek2] attach: 'Error during device I/O' [microtek2] sane_get_devices: attach status 'Error during device I/O' No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). [microtek2] sane_exit: [microtek2] sane_get_devices: local_only=0 [microtek2] sane_get_devices: sd_list_freed [microtek2] sane_exit: microtek2 says goodbye. --- I'm willing to help debug this. If you need more info or some log file please ask. According the man page this scanner works. FYI I have a USB mass storage card reader that works great and the scanner does show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices. I can also see the scanner in /var/log/messages and sane-find-scanner sorta finds it. It just shows the vendor and product ID. I'm using RedHat9 with 2.4.21. Thanks, Sopho __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
