I just swapped two hubs, both made by Belkin, and now find that devices on one of them never show up unless I unplug/replug them.
Anyone know what might cause this? I would suspect a hardware or cable problem, except that the hub works fine on a Win98 box, and the cables work fine with other hubs. Details: F5U021 was on a Win98 box, and worked fine. F5U120 was on a RH9 box. The hub and ps/2 ports worked fine. After swapping, the F5U120 works on the Win98 box. The F5U021 on the linux box always shows no devices (in usbview) after boot. None are functional until I unplug/replug them.
