Well, I don't have this warm, fuzzy feeling with 2.6 I have with 2.4.
I tried 2.6.0-test1 and it worked quite well, but there are still some
issues with a few drivers that keep me from using it on my system, yet.
Since 2.4.22-pre* updates lots of ACPI-related stuff, I'd like to use
it, but then there's this USB-problem that keeps me from doing backups
(warm, fuzzy feeling disappeared immediately)... ;)
I really hope it gets fixed before 2.4.22-stable.
