Hello.

My Linux box lost my ACOM flash card reader, can you help it?

I am running kernel version 2.4.20. The USB controller shows up under
lspci:

00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB USB (Hub #1) (rev 01)
00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB USB (Hub #2) (rev 01)
00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB USB (Hub #3) (rev 01)
00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB USB2 (rev 01)

But the disk does not show up in proc/scsi/scsi

$ cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: _NEC Model: CD-RW NR-9100A Rev: 108A
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Nor does it seem to be in /proc/bus/usb

[EMAIL PROTECTED] usb]$ pwd
/proc/bus/usb
[EMAIL PROTECTED] usb]$ cat devices

/proc/bus/usb has one other file: a directory called "001". This
directory has in turn a single file also called "001" which does not
seem to be human readable

[EMAIL PROTECTED] usb]$ cat 001/001
        @
                        [EMAIL PROTECTED] usb]$ od 001/001

Other notes:
I recompiled my kernel with USB and USB storage debugging messages which
didn't seem to turn up anything.

The card reader is detected and operational under Windows, so I do not
feel this is a hardware problem

I _think_ the problems started when I installed a 1394 card and a 1394
HD enclosure. I took out the 1394 card but that did not seem to help.

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide.
Thank you
