Hi... Hope this is the right mailing list for this; it could be USB,
or it could be PCI.

        I have an application which uses the Phillips webcam, and I recently
tried to port it to an emachines box with the VIA Apollo Pro266 chipset,
including the VT8633 and the VT8233 device controller. The camera didn't
work; I got

Aug 7 12:35:20 localhost kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:10.0-1,
assigned address 2
Aug  7 12:35:23 localhost kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Aug 7 12:35:23 localhost kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new
address=2 (error=-110)
Aug 7 12:35:24 localhost kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:10.0-1,
assigned address 3
Aug  7 12:35:27 localhost kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Aug 7 12:35:27 localhost kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new
address=3 (error=-110)

        I also noticed the following in the boot log:

Aug 7 12:35:04 localhost kernel: PCI: Probing PCI hardware

        Thinking it was an APIC problem, and noticing the VIA message was from
a "quirks" module, I recompiled 2.4.21 uniprocessor, and the problem
resolved.

        Is this a known problem? I've attached lspci output.

Andrew
