Yes. I tested it just yesterday. It works well on IDE cable.

Well, the writer has burnproof so IMHO this should not be a problem. I'll
test this rack on USB2.0 someday this week. A friend of mine has also some
IDE to USB rack and he burns ok on 2.4.21.
