I have a usb audio device that is not yet on the market - it's a kind of a telephone (it includes a mic and a speaker). I'm using Mandrake linux 9.1. When I tried to plug it in, the computer just hanged - all I could do is push the reset button. The same happened when I tried to connect before boot - at some point of the bootin the computer just hang. When used under windows - plugging the device makes windows recognize it immediately and it's ready for use - no driver install needed. I know that it was never before tried on a linux system. Does that mean it can't be used under linux - or do I need to configure something to make it work. By the way - I'm so n00b - you have no idea!!! (maybe i'm just too old, lol)
Thanks anyways... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
