The kernel is 2.4.18-14.
The problem doesn't happen when the USB device is not connected. So, I am sure it is related to USB. The problem happen more often with the usbserial driver devices than with ACM driver devices.
The problem is related to ppp connection over USB. It may also related to ppp or TCP/IP as I am doing ftp over the ppp.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any meaningful logs.
