in fdisk and now the usb and sys info shows /dev/sda1

It's labeled as "Samsung 128MB" actually. I was told it's USB 2.0
device, but I saw only USB 1.1 Samsung drive on the link you provided.
And it doesn't look the same -- a simple silver box.
