I can't get a CF reader to work under Mandrake 9.1 with
2.4.2[02].

The device shows up correctly in /proc/bus/pci/devices with
usb-storage listed as the driver.

The CF is listed correctly in /proc/scsi/usb-storage-0/0.

When cat out /proc/scsi/scsi, it says there are no devices
attached.

I've tried echo "scsi add-single-device 0 0 0 0" >/proc/scsi/scsi.

I've tried rescan-scsi-bus.sh. It doesn't find any devices.

I've tried scsidev 2.31, and it finds nothing.

I've also tried using the RIP 6.4 rescue CD that has a kernel
w/o devfs that had all the scsi modules compiled in -- same
results: everything in /proc/bus/usb/devices and
/proc/scsi/usb-storage-0 looks fine, but /proc/scsi/scsi says
there are no devices attached.

What am I missing??
