Hi, I just bought a sony dsc-p10, which I want to hook up to my RH box. I have never connected a USB device in Linux before, and am at a loss how to begin.
I am running RH 9, just a bog-standard installation. It is an upgrade from RH 7.3. I was not asked about USB support in the upgrade process, and I don't recall the question comming up when I installed 7.3. So I have no idea if "USB Mass Storage and SCSI Generic Support are enabled in the kernel", or how to enable them if they are not. The computer is home-built, a AMD palamino processor and an Epox motherboard. What I want is to create "/mnt/camera", and be able to mount the camera to that point. I know it takes at least two things to enable this: I somehow need to enable USB support, and I need to modify fstab. Could someone please tell me how I can get the camera hooked up? Thanks, glenn ------------------------------ I want to go farther, farther! A. E.
