Ok, I removed the magicdev package, disabled hotplug-support in the kernel
and uninstalled the hotplug packages. It still starts mounting my usbstick
as soon as the modules "uhci" or "usb-uhci" are loaded.
Only difference: The timeout message doesn't appear. Instead the systems
hangs...it makes no difference if i first load the module and then plug in
the stick or if I first plug in the stick and then load the module

why does it still react to the stick? Or better, why does it hang? "lsusb"
still ends with reporting timeouts ad infinitum...
