I am using Redhat 9 with kernel 2-4.20-8 smp. I bought a tumbdrive and inserted into one of my usb port. I have to modprobe usb-storage because its not autodetect when I did lsmod. I noticed once I modprobe on /proc scsi folder is created and when I do cating /proc/scsi/scsi no device attached is returned. I tried to mount it manually bu mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usbdrive its return no valid block device, I tired others like sda1,2 etc but similar returns I got. Please advice. Thanks.
