I am curious if anyone knows if the Plextor 708UF DVDR-+ works on Linux. Plextor did not know but said that they support ATA over USB and that in theory it should work.
If there is another known drive that you know works out of the box, please let me know as well. Ideally the unit would support either USB2.0 and 1394.
