In your diagnostic information below, it looks like you are not
using the 2.6.0 release but a very early test kernel, 2.6.0-test1.
If that is so you could try later 2.6.0 kernels but YMMV.
Do you need 2.6.0? If 2.4.x works better I would stay with that.
