I first attempted to contact the maintainer in the ZiO! source file, but my email was bounced. I have unsuccessfully tried to get the Microtech ZiO! device working with 2.6.0. Below is a snippet of my config file with (I hope) the proper options enabled for my 2.6.0 kernel:
# # USB Device Class drivers # # CONFIG_USB_AUDIO is not set # CONFIG_USB_BLUETOOTH_TTY is not set # CONFIG_USB_MIDI is not set # CONFIG_USB_ACM is not set CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=m CONFIG_USB_STORAGE=m CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DEBUG=y # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DATAFAB is not set # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_FREECOM is not set # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_ISD200 is not set CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DPCM=y # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_HP8200e is not set CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_SDDR09=y # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_SDDR55 is not set # CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_JUMPSHOT is not set
I insert the usb-storage driver and then my ZiO! and this is all I get:
Jan 11 20:36:45 atlas kernel: hub 2-0:1.0: new USB device on port 1, assigned address 2
Should I be using the patches from the sourceforge page or not? They appeared to be obsolete? I tried this on both my laptop and my desktop machine. On my laptop, I dual boot with WinXP and the device works fine under WinXP. I tried different sizes of CompactFlash and both UHCI/EHCI and OHCI/EHCI controllers. Any ideas? Yes, I also Google'd.
