Greetings, I am trying to get the Epson TM-T88III USB printer to work on Redhat Linux. According to the .config file, it seems that USB support for these two modules have been chosen. I have also added the following lines to /etc/modules.conf (under the line alias usb uhci):
post-install uhci modprobe printer post-install printer insmod usbserial vendor=0x04b8 product-0x0202 Although the modules seem to be loaded, I am unable to open a connection to /dev/usb/ttyUSB* to print. I am also unable to choose "/dev/usb/lp0" in the printer set up in redhat 9. Please tell me how to load usbserial and printer in order to get the Epson printer to work. Thanks in advance.
