Lets call this thing a R-Camera for lack of a real name yet, I want to attach it using hi speed USB-2 .
I was thinking about making the look like some HID thing (or possibly a make it look like a hard drive) , and adapt my control and communications to that standard. Can anyone point me at some references and tools that I can use to look at the USB presence on a Linux box ( I am running Slackware, and have RH and Debian machines).
I am not (yet) very experienced with writting a device driver for Lin...., but my main obstacle is understanding how to communicate with the OS support, Device Driver layers.
Many thanks in advance , Mitch
