My architecture :
Motherboard MSI K7 Turbo2 with Athlon 1GHz
Interface USB with only an USB HP printer
USB : selection of "uhci" as with "ohci" my printer is not seen ! ;
question : can both "uhci" and "ohci" modules coexist ?
a) kernel 2.4.25-2mdk
All works fine with following lilo option :
append=" devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi acpi=ht resume=/dev/hda5"
b) kernel 2.6.3-4mdk / 2.6.3-7mdk / 2.6.3-9mdk
I have to desactivate the "apic" option like this :
append=" devfs=mount noapic acpi=ht resume=/dev/hda5"
and it works : I mean my printer is seen.
Therefore my default kernel from now on is kernel 2.6.3-9mdk ; the only
problem is what do I loose by not selecting "apic" et boot ?
I plan next to compile kernel 2.6.5 and check whether I can re-establish
"apic" or not.
Regards.
