Hi!

I have a Labtec Axis 712 USB Headset. When I plug it it, it works (e.g.
playing music with xmms), but as soon as my computer has something else to
do, the music stops. When I kill XMMS, one thread stays dead and cannot be
killed. This happens with other players, too. I tried it with these
configurations:

1. ECS K7S5A Mainboard (ohci), Kernel 2.6.5, Kernel Alsa
2. ECS K7S5A Mainboard (ohci), Kernel 2.6.6, Alsa 1.0.4
3. ECS K7S5A Mainboard (ohci), Kernel 2.4.26, Alsa 1.0.4
4. Sony Vaio PCG-F403, i440BX Chipset (uhci), Kernel 2.6.5, Kernel Alsa

As soon as this happens, the whole USB Subsystem hangs, even my PS/2 Keyboard
sometimes freezes, the only chance to go on is to reboot the system.

On the Internet, I found many reports of this problem with other devices (USB
Sticks, Digital Cameras,...), but no solutions so far.

Appended, there are some kernel messages from case 2 and 3.

Any Ideas?

Ciao

Martin
