Hi folks,
I've set my HP r707 camera to act like a USB Disk.
It can also use the USB camera protocol that gphoto2 groks.
But I have nice scripts to grab images and upload from the camera
into directories sorted by date.
This all works fine with 2.4.25 kernels with the same OB900.
(older hp omnibook).
But with 2.6.7 and 2.6.8-rc2, the "mount /dev/sda1" hangs.
ie it does not complete and can be aborted (eventually) with ^C.
I've put everything related to 2.6.8-rc2 on;

[ sorry - need to use passive mode to access the files. Likely something
messed up with my iptables setup ]
The .config has USB DEBUG options turned on.
The DEBUG output is in 2.6.8-rc2-usb.out.
IIRC, here is the rough sequence of events in 2.6.8-rc2-usb.out:
boot
login
modprobe usb-storage
connect r707
turn on r707
attempt "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt"
^C
attempt "dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/dev/null count=1"
^C
turn off camera - camera buttons are unresponsive
camera powers off on it's own after a minute or so.
I can run experiments folks have this weekend when I get home.
