situations

Familiar 0.7.2
desktop debian sid with 2.6.7-rc3 kernel.

Problem :

Unable to coinnect using USB

Facts.

1 I can ping both ways
2. dhpc find and gets proper address which is correctly noticed by server

3. am unable to use ANY other application (TCP based). Tried ssh, samba, etc.

4. Using Strace apps block on connect to Ipaq

There are no firewall rules

tried nmap to scan ports on Ipaq and nmap claims that everything is filterd.

dmesg shows following output on desktop (MANY times)

usb0: register usbnet at usb-0000:00:03.2-1, Linux Device
usbcore: registered new driver usbnet

and later

NETDEV WATCHDOG: usb0: transmit timed out

On the Ipaq dmesg reads
usb-eth: device configured, go go go.
usbep0: Configured (OMP=00000040 IMP=00000040)
usbep0: fixme: set interface not supported
usb_recv: RPC for non-existent buffer
usb_recv: fifo screwed, shouldn't contain data

Suggestions what might be wrong here (perhaps protocol incompatibilities ??)
