Hi everyone,

I attached a 80-GB-HDD to my server using USB-2. The server runs
Debian 3.1 with Kernel 2.8.6.

When I try to copy a very large file (about 4 GB) from the USD-HDD to
another pc there is always an error:

> SCSI error : <0 0 0 0> return code = 0x70000
> end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 28779959
> usb-storage: queuecommand called
> usb-storage: *** thread awakened.

> ehci_hcd 0000:00:09.3: devpath 5 ep2out 3strikes
> usb-storage: Status code -71; transferred 0/31
> usb-storage: -- unknown error
> usb-storage: Bulk command transfer result=4
> usb-storage: -- transport indicates error, resetting
> usb-storage: usb_stor_Bulk_reset called
> usb-storage: usb_stor_control_msg: rq=ff rqtype=21 value=0000 index=00 len=0
> ehci_hcd 0000:00:09.3: GetStatus port 5 status 001002 POWER sig=se0 CSC

After that the device hangs and I have to reboot to unmount.

/proc/bus/usb/devices shows this:

This is the internal controller-card which I use to connect the hdd:

Is there anything I can do about this?
