Hi, All, I successfully configured everything, everything runs fine. However, I noticed an interesting thing about the usb hotplug.
My PC runs 24 hours a day. Many times I will use a usb storage key to transfer data from my friends. I noticed everytime if I use a different usb key, then I will need to use a new device node /dev/sdaX. For example, if I plug in my usb key, I will need to use /dev/sda1. Then I unplug mine and plug in my friend's usb key, then I will need to use /dev/sdb1. And if I try another one then it will need to use /dev/sdc1.... My question is: is there a way when I unplug the usb key, the usb module and scsi bus can be reset, so that the same device node can be released and it can be reused next time?? So after I unplug my usb key and plug in my friend's it still uses /dev/sda1. Thanks John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
