Unfortunatly nothing worked. Even a value of 400 didn't change anything.
But I found out, that I can't boot when this device is connected. The BIOS
itself hangs immediatly after initializing the disk controller. If I then
unplug the device, the machine continues booting, but Lunux crashes during
boot at the moment where it tries to probe the USB controller. This makes
me believe that this device is broken and will never work. Best I can do,
is selling it on Ebay :-].
