Hi, I just bought a USB2 Cardbus Adapter with NEC chipset. I am using the newest kernel version 2.6.10 and "lspci -v" shows the following information about the controller:
0000:0d:00.0 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 43) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: Unknown device 1758:0035 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11 Memory at 11000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 0000:0d:00.1 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 43) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: Unknown device 1758:0035 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11 Memory at 11001000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 0000:0d:00.2 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB 2.0 (rev 04) (prog-if 20 [EHCI]) Subsystem: Unknown device 1758:2001 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 68, IRQ 11 Memory at 11002000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 When I plug in any usb device (1.1 or 2.0), the ehci_hcd module is crashing immediately: ehci_hcd 0000:0d:00.2: fatal error ehci_hcd 0000:0d:00.2: reset command 010b0b park=3 ithresh=1 period=256 Reset RUN ehci_hcd 0000:0d:00.2: HC died; cleaning up Afterwards the device is handled by ohci_hcd and works properly in full speed mode.
