A good datasheet is one step (on www.authentic.com datasheets seems
to be provided).
A second step is a software flowchart of how to put the usb commands
in the right order.

Also the choice must be made which type of driver will be made:
1. Kernel module
2. Userspace program (libusb, no isochronous mode support yet)

For the userspace program a SANE backend is a possibility 
(scanner/webcam).

bulkmode) see

in SANE CVS /experimental/sanei_usb/  patched files for
sanei_usb.c and sanei_usb.h are placed so
the configuration, interface and altsetting nr. can be changed so
all endpoints can be reached.
